Thank you for this important message. War distorts the being of human beings. What Americans did in Iraq. What veterans who return from of isreal do committing suicide because they cannot live with themselves having murdered people. Realization that all Life is One. People are people. And those in Israel who commit crimes against humanity have gone criminally insane a long time ago. They are no longer sane. Because crime causes insanity.

This is an important message. We talk a lot about the dehumanization of the victims of atrocities but in our talk we dehumanize the perpetrators. We must remember their humanity, not for the sake of the perpetrators, but for our own. It is too easy to think of them as fundamentally different than we are, which is comforting because it means we would never do anything evil like that. But it’s a lie. Every day is a choice, and we have to keep making the choice to do the right thing over and over. Doing evil may be a single terrible choice made in a moment but based on factors brewing inside for a long time, or, more likely, it can be the combined effect of a thousand small choices, each one harder to make than the one before.
I don't hold out much hope that ICE agents have a heart or conscience. Plus, Trump is using local sheriffs through a program that deputizes them as federal agents for immigration purposes. Think of how many sheriffs in the US have looked the other way when it came to lynching persons of color, etc. These are the thugs we really need to look out for, IMO.
