There is an interview with Jane Elliot about a book titled, Birth Dearth (1988), written by Ben Wattenberg. The book cost around $500.00. The reason for this high cost?
I had previously read an excerpt from the book, the part where he talks about three ways to solve the problem. I was wondering if you know the exact page of the quote. I recently went back online and I got access to the full book and it appears that those pages are not there. There is a feature to reference things in the book and I tried to look up the quote or words and nothing pops up. I think that is kind of odd and maybe a way of censoring people from certain information. I do recall reading precisely that part and its been driving me crazy. Let me know where I could find this. I had been talking about this as well, glad you made this connection after finding her, because I was saying 1920's to 1970's was the biggest eugenic era in America, and the 50 years of The Roe victory was a cold war Period and the book was the art of the war.. The Author writes about this type of thing alot in his books. But anyways, historically eugenists don't usually go for abortions(Clarence Thomson tried to make the argument that eugenics and abortion are fully connected).
Obviously there's a dark implied use to them, but that's a distraction as abortion isn't the enemy. The fear mongering with the "White" birth rate and needing wombs as cogs without consent is the true eugenic move that we have to deal with: the eugenic era America is almost in full Swing, causing women to have rare cancer or children getting pregnant thus having to travel somewhere else..
The argument that criminalizing abortion will increase the number of white babies born is eye-opening. The last line of the report, however, is confusing. Why will it save white fetuses while letting non-white fetuses die? It seems that white people are more likely to have the means to travel for an abortion and will do so, thereby continuing to limit white births, while more non-white women will be forced to carry their babies to term. Why will “the other forty percent” die?
60% of abortions are by white woman. The author believes if we can 'save' those 60% then we can raise the number of white births and continue to be the dominant race in the country. It is a non-sensical racist statement, of course.
